Students will acquire a fundamental knowledge of the rules of the language and continue to learn more words of locations, directions as well as the modal verbs. Students will become familiar with the differences between simple and continuous aspects, and will acquire intermediate knowledge of how to express themselves in the present, past, future. There will be vocabulary building exercises and discussions on everyday topics, as well as more complex speaking activities.

This course is designed to equip participants with the framework and skills to teach Chinese as a second language. The participants will learn to synergize the various pedagogic strategies in order to suit specific teaching objectives.
At the end of the course, students who have successfully completed all subject will be awarded:
The Certificate in teaching Chinese Language (Teaching Methodology for CSL Teachers).
