2025 “Chinese Bridge” Competition for Quebec Region, Canada
“‘汉语桥’比赛是中加文化交流的重要平台，办好“汉语桥”比赛，能够激发加拿大学生学习汉语的兴趣，增进他们对中国语言和文化的了解。同时，通过比赛促进文化多样性和友谊，助力中文教育的推广。
在疫情多年后的2025年，重启魁北克地区汉语桥中、小学生比赛项目意义重大。本次比赛由中国驻蒙特利尔总领馆主办、魁北克孔子学院承办，通过这个活动，将重整本地区汉语教师队伍，重拾本地区学生学习汉语的热情和兴趣，鼓励和增强本地区汉语教师继续对汉语教学的信心。
The “Chinese Bridge” competition is an important platform for cultural exchange between China and Canada. Successfully organizing the “Chinese Bridge” competition can inspire Canadian students to learn Chinese, deepen their understanding of the Chinese language and culture, and promote cultural diversity and friendship while supporting the development of Chinese language education.
In 2025, after several years of the pandemic, the relaunch of the “Chinese Bridge” competition in Quebec, hosted by the Chinese Consulate-General in Montreal and organized by the Confucius Institute in Quebec, holds great significance. This event will help rebuild the local Chinese language teaching community, rekindle students’ enthusiasm and interest in learning Chinese, and encourage and strengthen the confidence of Chinese language teachers in continuing their teaching efforts.
参赛对象
Eligibility for Participation
1．当前在中、小学就读的学生；
2．具有加拿大国籍或永久居民身份、在中国以外地区成长、父母母语为非中文的学生。
1． Students currently enrolled in primary or secondary schools.
2. Applicants must be Canadian citizens and have a native language other than Chinese.
比赛内容Competition Content:
中文语言能力和中华文化技能两个方面。
The competition focuses on two areas: Chinese language proficiency and knowledge of Chinese culture.
比赛形式 Competition Format:
1) 所有参加选手需现场进行中文讲演，内容自创或朗诵作品。不论自创或朗诵，选手都应先简单介绍自己，讲演内容包括简单的中国国情知识，如中国的地理或历史，或现今的政治经济发展，以展示对中国有一定的了解。
1) All participants are required to deliver a speech in Chinese on site. The speech can be either an original piece or a recitation. Regardless of the format, participants should begin by briefly introducing themselves. The speech should also include basic information about China, such as its geography, history, or current political and economic development, to demonstrate an understanding of the country (some general content reflecting China’s national conditions is sufficient).
2) 小学生比赛中，讲演成绩即中文语言能力占90%；中学生讲演成绩即中文语言能力占总分的70%。小学生讲演约2-3分钟，中学生讲演约3-4分钟。
2) For primary school students, the speech score, which reflects Chinese language proficiency, accounts for 90% of the total score. For secondary school students, the speech score accounts for 70% of total score. The speech should last approximately 2–3 minutes for primary students and 3–4 minutes for secondary students.
3) 除了语言方面以外，还需进行中华文化技能展示。展示可包含中国文化元素的各种形式，小学生占10%，1-3分钟左右。中学生比赛中华文化技能展示占30%, 2-4分钟左右。
3) In addition to language skills, participants are also required to present a demonstration of Chinese cultural skills. This can take various forms that incorporate elements of Chinese culture. For primary school students, the cultural skills demonstration accounts for 10% of the total score and should last around 1–3 minutes. For secondary school students, it accounts for 30% of the total score and should last approximately 2–4 minutes.
4) 参赛者需自己准备道具、服装、伴奏乐曲等。伴奏乐曲用USB存储，并标明学校 和学生的名字，于参赛当日赛前交给主办单位，以便主办单位做好播放准备。
4) Participants are responsible for preparing their own props, costumes, and background music. Accompaniment music should be saved on a USB drive, clearly labeled with the student’s name and school, and submitted to the organizers before the competition begins on the day of the event to ensure smooth playback.
活动比赛顺序将根据参赛学生法文姓氏的字母确定。
The order of performances will be determined based on the alphabetical order of participants’ last names in French.
比赛方式及奖励
Competition Format and Awards
本年度比赛分为中学生、小学生两个组，由预赛和决赛构成。预赛通过当地协办单位或学校报名并进行，决赛将在魁北克孔子学院指定场地进行。
This year’s competition consists of two rounds: the preliminaries and finals. The preliminary rounds will be conducted through local co-organizing institutions or schools. The final competition will take place at a venue designated by the Confucius Institute in Quebec.
决赛设一、二、三等及鼓励奖，所有获奖选手将获得证书和奖品。奖品由魁北克孔子学院提供。
The final competition will feature First, Second, and Third Prizes, as well as Encouragement Awards. All winners will receive certificates and prizes, which will be provided by the Confucius Institute in Quebec.
