On February 7, 2026, the Chinese New Year celebration at Promenades St-Bruno on Montreal’s South Shore was held on an expanded scale, drawing large public participation. As a key cultural partner, the Confucius Institute in Quebec led by Associate Director Xia Tian organized four interactive workshops themed “The Beauty of the East,” including Chinese calligraphy, paper cutting, Chinese knot-making, and lavender sachet crafting, attracting over 150 participants.
The Huayin Chinese Orchestra also performed festive traditional music such as Horse Racing on two stages, captivating audiences of diverse backgrounds. Together with lion dance, K-Pop, and traditional dance performances, the event showcased cultural diversity while strengthening community connections.
