On February 18, 2026, the Confucius Institute in Quebec and the Jiahua School team were invited by Lower Canada College to host an immersive Chinese New Year cultural experience for the Year of the Horse. The program featured a paper-cutting workshop introducing the history and creativity of this traditional art form, alongside a performance by the Huayin Chinese Orchestra showcasing the beauty of traditional music through bamboo flute, yangqin, and guzheng. A Sichuan opera face-changing performance brought the event to an exciting climax.

On February 19, the team visited DRW Montreal during lunchtime to present a cultural experience program including guzheng performances, calligraphy writing of “Fu” characters and Spring Festival couplets, and hands-on paper folding activities. Employees actively participated, gaining a closer appreciation of Chinese New Year traditions and Chinese culture while fostering cross-cultural exchange.
