Paper-based HSK Test

You will be required to sit at a desk with the question papers and answer sheets for the listening, reading, and writing sections (level 3-6 only). You will need to write your answers in either 2B-pencil or pen.

Computer-based HSK Test at Test Center

You will be required to sit in front of a computer with the questions for the listening, reading, writing tests (level 3-6 only) presented on the screen in our test center. You will need to submit your answers through the use of a keyboard and a mouse.

How to Register:

1. Please read the test regulations carefully before taking the exam.

2. Create an account and book the test online via www.chinesetest.cn. Choose the correct test format, computer-based test at test center or paper-based test.

3. Pay for the test with the following payment instructions.

NB: Please make sure you have registered and booked via chinesetest.cn which means secured a spot for your test before payment. To secure your test seat, we advise prompt payment of the test fee. Given the limited number of available seats at each test center, early payment is essential to avoid registration complications resulting from fully occupied test seats.

How to Pay for Your HSK Test

Pay with Interac e-Transfer:

  • Sign In: Access your online or mobile banking and find the option to send money with Interac e-Transfer.
  • Select Account: Choose the account you’d like the funds to come from.

  • Add Recipient: If this is your first time paying us, add a new recipient with the following details:

    • Name: Confucius Institute in Quebec (L’INSTITUT CONFUCIUS AU QUEBEC)
    • Email: services@confuciusinstitute.qc.ca

  • ***Kindly include the following details in the message section of each transfer if you’d like to receive a receipt for your payment:

    • Your full name
    • The test level
    • The email address where you would like to receive confirmation and your payment receipt
  • Enter Payment Amount: Enter the fee amount for your specific HSK level.
  • Review & Send: Confirm all the details and then send the payment.
